Buyers Are Left Stunned As Tiny Montana Home Hits the Market For $1.1 Million

A modest 69-year-old house in rural Montana has been listed for sale at more than $1 million, sparking outrage among thousands of people over the exorbitant price tag. The 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom house is nestled in the tiny town of Whitefish in the Rocky Mountains of northwest Montana. The 1,824-square-foot house is sheathed in simple white paneling with square windows. Factors contributing to the shocking price tag include its prime location, within walking distance of downtown. The town itself is a sought-after destination for skiing, hiking, and golf enthusiasts. The median sale price in Whitefish surged to $750,000 in January, marking it as one of the most expensive cities in Montana. The current owner is even considering upping the price to $2.3 million, though it’s doubtful he will get that. Social media has exploded with comments, with one commenter saying, “Is there $900,000 piled up in the basement?” Most users thought the story was a joke in the beginning. One user made the comparison, “In Arkansas, that will get you 250 acres, a 3-bedroom, 2-bath house, 3 barns and an old tractor!” As of now, no offers have been received on the house.
