Thanks to a new innovative DNA analysis technique, cat hair can successfully place a perpetrator at the scene of a crime. In one case, the skeletal remains in a murder case could be matched with DNA from the hair of the perpetrator’s cat. Pet hair is a valuable source of linking evidence, and the same approach could also be applied using dog hair.
