Dogs Have a Sweet Long-Distance Relationship, Complete With Weekly FaceTime Calls

When we think about romance and soulmates, we’re generally thinking about people, not dogs. However, it turns out that there are two dogs who are completely smitten with one another. Rollo and Sadie met during the pandemic, when their owners moved into apartments in the same building in Canada. According to Sadie’s owner, Kayla McTeer, it was love at first sight for the Husky-German Shepherd mix. She said Sadie didn’t really get along well with other dogs, but when she met Rollo she whined and cried and acted like she had just met the love of her life. Thankfully for Sadie, her beau was also into her, and the relationship we didn’t know we needed was born. Sadly for the two lovebirds, Rollo’s owner, Caitlin Banks, had to move for a job that was 3 hours away from her dog’s love interest. If dogs could talk, there’s little doubt that they would have told their owners the move was unfair and that they would find a way to be together. As it turns out, the pair did find a way to be together, with the help of their humans. The women set up weekly FaceTime calls so the dogs can have a “date night” chat once a week, and chat they do. Once they spot reach other on camera, they whine and howl like they haven’t seen each other in years. Now, however, there’s good news: Rollo's owners have revealed that they plan to eventually move back to their old apartment.
