Georgia handyman Mali Hightower has come up with a unique way to combat soaring fuel prices by modifying a Barbie Dream Camper into a functioning vehicle using a 2-gallon, 1-piston engine from an old power washer. Hightower said he’s always had a niche for building go-karts, and once he saw how gas prices were skyrocketing, he started making mini cars. He uses the bright pink vehicle to travel around the Atlanta suburb of Ellenwood. The camper costs only a few dollars to fill up, compared to more than $60 to fuel his minivan. It just goes to show that when gas prices climb high enough, people can get extremely creative.
