Considering the fact that the average single-section mobile home sells for around $86,000, this mobile home’s price tag is in the stratosphere. Perched on 700 square feet on the edge of Ditch Plains Beach, the mobile home, which was built in the 1970s and renovated in 2017, will set a record if it sells for the asking price. The 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom mobile home sits oceanfront and has an L-shaped deck facing the water. That means panoramic views of the ocean, which is a peak selling point. The mobile home park also has a heated swimming pool and playground. Montauk Shores Mobile Home Park began as a vacation trailer community and fishing village, and now homes rent for the summer for upwards of $60,000. Compared to the rest of the Hamptons, Montauk remains the more down-to-earth area, with taco shacks, surfers in wetsuits, and long stretches of public beaches that host nightly bonfires in the summer.
