Model With Cerebral Palsy Champions Adaptive Clothing



Elliot Caswell, a young man with cerebral palsy who had given up any hope of getting work, has landed a modeling job after being featured in a BBC documentary. Journalist Rachel Price spent give years filming Caswell’s life after meeting him on a plane in 2019. In the documentary — A Life of My Own — Caswell opened up about his struggles to find work. As luck would have it, a senior art director at British retailer Primark happened to be watching when the documentary aired and thought Caswell would be a perfect model for a new clothing range. The 25-year-old says that since the documentary on his life has aired, his whole world has changed. Now he is one of the models for Primark’s range of clothing that has been adapted for adults with disabilities. Caswell confessed that, like many disabled people, he struggles to find clothing that’s easy to put on. Now, he not only has clothing that makes it easier for him to dress, but he’s making a good living modeling them.
