Fans of Lay’s can begin submitting ideas for a new potato chip flavor and possibly become a millionaire in the process. The “Do Us a Flavor” contest begins today and lasts until February 21, 2025. The winner of the contest will see their chip flavor in Lay’s potato chips in 2025 and walk away with a cool million. Fans can submit up to 10 ideas per day. A panel of judges will meet after the submission deadline and narrow it down to 3 finalists. The company will then leave the final decision to votes submitted by fans from April 21 to June 13, announcing the grand prize winner soon after. Although the first and second runners-up won’t win $1 million, they will each take home $50,000 for their efforts. The contest is open to all U.S. residents, 18 and older, who have a valid government-issued photo ID. If you happen to live in Alabama or Nebraska, you must be 19 years old to participate. Lay’s will also be releasing 5 flavors from their “Flavor Vault” — Chicken & Waffles, Fried Green Tomato, Cheesy Garlic Bread, Southern Biscuits & Gravy, and Crispy Taco.
