A suspension bridge stretching nearly 800 feet over the Dadong River Gorge in Chongqing, China, is one of the world’s scariest suspension bridges because of how unsafe it looks. For the past couple of years, clips of heavy construction vehicles traversing the bridge have gone viral on social media, leaving people to wonder about its safety. The terrifying wonder has no towers or base for support, relying only on 4 steel cables to support vehicles up to 45 tons. It’s just wide enough for one vehicle, and despite featuring safety nets on each side, one wrong move can spell disaster. While the Dadong River Gorge suspension bridge isn’t the most stable bridge in the world, its massive steel cables have done a good enough job so far.
