The New Swiss Army Knife Will Be Missing a Key Feature

The maker of the Swiss Army Knife is working on a new version of the classic multi-tool, and this one won’t have a blade. Victorinox said they are in the process of developing pocket tools without blades, adding that they will compliment the existing range of multi-tools rather than replacing them. The company is concerned about increasingly stringent regulations on knives in many markets, while pointing out that in many countries knives are seen as weapons rather than tools. Some of the additions hinted at include a tool for cyclists and one for specific sports activities like golf. No specific timeline has been announced for the new Swiss Army Knife.
