Costco’s New CFO Reverses the Decision To Increase the Price of $1.50 Hot Dog Deal

Gary Millerchip, the new Chief Financial Officer of Costco has revealed that the $1.50 hot dog and soda combo are safe. Previous suggestions that the hot dog price may be increased outraged the public so much that it even led to death threats against the former CEO. Costco’s $1.50 hot dog and soda combo has been the same price since 1985, with the discount store selling in the neighborhood of 130 million hot dogs a year. One of the new rules that led social media users to start heated debates was Costco employees being required to ask to see a customer’s membership card before allowing them to make a food court purchase. The downside is that the annual membership is $60 a year. Nevertheless, people on social media are claiming that many locations still allow non-members to eat there. What most people don’t know is that Costco doesn’t make any money off the food court.
