Oregon Man Narrowly Misses Being Sliced In Half By Runaway Sawblade

Shane Remiche was entering the Quick Trip Market in Eugene, Ore., on Thursday, when a concrete saw broke loose from a nearby construction site. Just seconds later, the nearly 4-foot-tall blade was hurtling across the parking lot, miraculously dodging the cars that were parked in the lot. Surveillance footage shows Reimche entering the store right before the blade slammed into the exterior wall of the store. The construction site from which the blade was launched had been dealing with a leaky gas valve  and contractors believe the runaway blade may have come loose due to a missing bolt. Northwest Natural Gas was working with the contractor and has launched an investigation into the incident. As for Shane, he’s just glad to be here. “I was thinking maybe it’s my time, I don’t think I would have survived being touched by that thing."
