Porch Pirate of a Different Breed

It’s that time of year again, when FedEx, Amazon, UPS, and USPS drivers are working overtime to get presents delivered in time for Christmas. Porch pirates don’t make it easy for those hoping that their special gift makes it in time for that special someone to enjoy on the holiday. Homes across the country have been hit by thieves who don’t care about spoiling Christmas. As it turns out, “pooch pirates” can also be a problem. Marlene O’Mara, of Nashville, Tenn., thought the present her mother sent to her daughter had been stolen by real-life Grinches after it was nowhere to be found, despite a picture from the delivery driver showing that it had been delivered. That’s when she decided to look at her security camera footage, which showed her neighbor’s dog stealing the package off her porch, after dancing around the delivery driver. The video below is hilarious, seemingly showing the dog making sure the delivery driver was gone before he pilfered the package. “I was mad at first, but I laugh every time I watch the video,” said O’Mara. Fortunately for O’Mara, she was able to get the package back from the dog’s owner and the gift wasn’t damaged.
