Minnesota Hosts World Snow Sculpting Championship and the Giant Ice Art Is Pretty Spectacular

The third annual World Snow Sculpting Championship will be held in Stillwater, Minnesota, from January 17-21, featuring snow sculpting teams from around the world. The teams will compete to create the most compelling snow sculptures, with the winners taking home prize money and the title of World Champion. The week-long event will include entertainment, an indoor market, concession tents, and activities for people of all ages. Sculptors will have 72 hours to carve their sculptures out of snow and ice. Spectators can watch the entire process, visit with the teams and vote for their favorite sculpture. The team with the most votes will win “The People’s Choice Award.” This year, teams from Canada, France, Germany, Turkey, Finland, Ecuador, Wales, Mexico and the U.S. are scheduled to compete.
