George Louvis (pictured) has owned broadcast radio station WVRM since the late 1990s. Its signal is weak, only commanding antennas for one block between Bellevue and Lorraine Avenues in Montclair, New Jersey. Unwitting listeners tuned to 91.9 FM as they drive through the uptown shopping district are delighted to find the signal as it plays it’s only song: a 1-minute loop of the Boyz II Men 1994 hit “I’ll Make Love To You” that's on a 24-hour loop. The broadcast isn’t a prank. “The mystery of it has been so amusing to people that I feel obligated to let it play until the machine dies,” confessed Louvis. Why that particular song? Louvis says a friend borrowed his transmitter and returned it with that song on it, so he decided to leave it playing. Louvis says he’s tried to shut down the transmitter several times, but people always implored him not to. So how long will this local favorite keep on keepin’ on? Stay tuned!
