A man recently risked losing all of his teeth after trying to make his own dentures with a special resin purchased online in an effort to save money on expensive dental procedures. The unidentified man went to a dental clinic with both his upper and lower teeth caked in a hard, brown substance. He had been having trouble eating because of his deteriorating teeth, so he decided it was time to get dentures. He didn’t want to spend too much, so he decided to make his own dentures. Unfortunately, he made a mess of his teeth and was left with no alternative than to seek professional help. So far, however, no one has been willing to remove the DIY dentures. Dentists are now using this example to warn others to seek professional help instead of trying to fix their teeth themselves. Although no details have been confirmed, it’s suspected that the man failed to use ultraviolet light to harden the resin, causing it to slowly harden into an uncomfortable mold. This just proves the point that while dental work is expensive, it should always be left to the professionals.
