No-Bake Banana Oat Bites



If you think good healthy food comes with an exorbitant price tag, you might be surprised to find that these no-bake banana oat bites are actually cheaper to make that store-bought healthy snacks. The beauty of this recipe is that you’re in complete control of what goes into them. They’re gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and can be made in less than 15 minutes. Enjoy them immediately or keep them for later, as they refrigerate and freeze well.

Ingredients:
  • • 2 ripe bananas
  • • 2 cups rolled oats (gluten-free if required)
  • • ¼ cup almond butter (peanut butter if you prefer)
  • • ¼ cup maple syrup (honey if you prefer)
  • • 2 tbsp chocolate chips (raw cacao nibs if you prefer)
  • • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • • Nuts, raisins (optional) 

Directions:
  • • In a medium-size bowl, place peeled bananas and mash them with a fork.
  • • Add all the other ingredients and mix until everything is well combined.
  • • Using a teaspoon, scoop out small bits of dough and roll them into 1½-inch balls.
  • • Refrigerate for 2 hours to firm up.
