Americans Have Had Enough

On the heels of late-night talk show host Stephen Colbert getting the boot, it seems that Howard Stern is the next to head for the exit door. The 71-year-old learned from his pal Jimmy Kimmel that his SiriusXM show was headed for cancellation. Howard Stern, like so many overpaid, irrelevant fixtures of the entertainment world, has been out of touch with the average American for decades. Once utterly afraid to offend — attacking celebrities, companies, televangelists, politicians, and even his own bosses — Howard Stern lost his mojo long ago. Some believe his demise is the result of one statement he made when speaking about Donald Trump winning the election: “I hate the people who vote for him. I think they’re stupid. I do.” With that statement, he severed whatever trust his dwindling audience had. Now he goes the way of Stephen Colbert, and the best guess is that $18-million-a-year man Anderson Cooper will be the next one out the door. Others say Gayle King, CBS’s overpaid morning show host-slash-Oprah appendage, will be out as early as next spring. The entertainment world needs a wakeup call. Americans are tired of being belittled by talentless talking heads. Go woke, go broke.
