Since landing the role of Eleven in Netflix sci-fi series Stranger Things back in 2016, Millie Bobby Brown (pictured above) has grown up in front of our eyes. Almost 10 years on from the show’s debut, and the former child star — who is only 21 — appears to have aged far beyond her young years. Brown isn’t the only Gen Z star who seems to have fallen victim to morphing into older-looking people. Kylie Jenner, Sabrina Carpenter and Miley Cyrus have all started looking years older than they really are. Doctors are now saying that young people are obsessed with aesthetics, thanks to high profile celebrities like the Kardashians, who have spent over $100,000 on plastic surgery, with an annual maintenance cost of around $20,000. Rather than the aesthetics enhancing their appearance, it’s actually aging them. According to plastic surgeon Dr. Marcus Mehta, Gen Zers are aging prematurely because of having injectables from a young age. “Excessive filler can lead to distortion, migration, and an unnatural appearance," said Dr. Mehta. He recommends addressing the underlying motivations behind seeking plastic surgery enhancements and save yourself some money.
