Kate Hudson’s 4-Ingredient Tacos



If you’ve ever wondered what actress Kate Hudson’s go-to meal is for busy nights, look no further than her 4-ingredient tacos. Before you assume these are your average fast-food-style tacos, think again. Hudson’s taco technique is what sets them apart. Instead of simply warming the tortillas, she fries them in oil before adding the ground beef filling — then fries them again. The result is a crispy yet chewy texture that makes them irresistible.

Servings: 10-12 

Ingredients:
  • • 1 onion, chopped
  • • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • • 1 pkg. taco seasoning
  • • Vegetable or avocado oil
  • • Corn tortillas
  • • Toppings — sour cream, shredded cheese, cilantro, salsa, guacamole

Directions:
  • • Sauté the chopped onion in a pan with a bit of oil until softened. • Add ground beef and cook until browned, seasoning it with your favorite taco seasoning.
  • • In a large skillet, heat oil until shimmering. 
  • • Carefully add one tortilla and let it bubble slightly. 
  • • Working quickly, spoon some of the ground beef mixture into the tortilla, then and close with a spatula and tongs. 
  • • Fry the taco for about 10 seconds per side until golden brown and slightly crispy. 
  • • Remove from the oil and let drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  • • Repeat with the remaining tortillas.
  • • Serve with preferred toppings.
