How the Kansas City Chiefs Became the Most-Hated Team in the NFL

Another NFL season is about to come to a close, and once again the Kansas City Chiefs have reached the Super Bowl. It’s a sight that few outside the Midwest will enjoy. Kansas City has been to the Super Bowl five times in the last six seasons, including this one, when they will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. In that time, they’ve gone from being seen as the exciting, brave up-and-comers to being seen as the villains of the league, and it’s all thanks to the media. The media has praised every move that Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes have made, and, of course, we can’t forget how the media fell all over themselves to give fans non-stop coverage of Kelce’s girlfriend, singer Taylor Swift, every time she showed up for a game……..which was almost non-stop. For now, the Chiefs are definitely the villains of the league — so much so that many detractors are turning to the Philadelphia Eagles in  hopes they might deliver some sort of justice with a victory in the Super Bowl. Meanwhile, it looks like fans will have to suffer through at least one more game of having the media shove Taylor Swift down their throats. The Grammy winner has announced that she will, indeed, attend the Super Bowl to cheer her boyfriend on.
