Target Gives Santa Clause a Hot Makeover in Viral Ad

Target fans can’t get enough of the company’s new holiday campaign, which has transformed Santa Claus from a sweet old man to a sexy young hunk. Model Brent Bailey appears in the commercial as Target employee “Kris K.” — a.k.a. Kris Kringle. Instead of appearing like the typical jolly fat Santa, Bailey is dressed in a quarter-zip red sweater and khaki pants, prompting viewers to fawn over the handsome Santa. Titled “Born to Be Kris,” the first 30-second ad shows the 41-year-old actor with silver hair driving a red Ford Bronco, with a “Sleigh” license plate on the back. He is then seen getting out of the car outside a snow-coated Target, as “Born to Be Wild” by Steppenwolf plays in the background. The holiday commercial left fans mesmerized, not only by his silver fox facial hair but his overall attraction. Social media exploded with comments like, “Sexy Target Santa!” and “Not your Mama’s Santa.” Of course, others pointed out that Target’s version of Santa Claus might appeal to mothers everywhere, but their kids are likely looking for the jolly, fat, ho-ho-hoing Santa Claus they’ve always seen.
