German auto modification company Brabus has unveiled the Big Boy 1200 —its first venture into the motorhome market — with a 28-ton house on wheels that costs in excess of $1.4 million. Apparently, the Big Boy might be deemed too big in some countries, as it’s only available in “approved markets.” The Big Boy boasts a length of 39 feet, with over 322 square feet of living space. Inside, it has a salon that features a modern kitchen with a dishwasher, spacious refrigerator and dining area, as well as a bathroom with a sink, toilet and shower. The living room is equipped with two upholstered sofas, and the bedroom has two extendable modules that creates space for a double bed. A 43-inch 4K television is installed in the side wall opposite the bed and can be used to watch television programs and streaming services or play games on the integrated Playstation 5 system. Security is provided by a 360-degree camera surveillance system with a direct feed into the living room, and a 4-digit entry code is required to unlock the doors. All the floors are heated throughout and there's a night heater and automatic air conditioning to guarantee stable temperatures no matter where you're driving to. Both are powered by 8 solar panels on the roof and the Big Boy's on-board energy storage system. Powering the motorhome is a 12.8-liter 6-cylinder turbo-diesel, which delivers 530hp. Despite having a colossal engine, the top speed is limited to just 56mph due to the vehicle's incredible weight.
