Woman Gets a Reply To Her Job Application……….48 Years Later

Tizi Hodson, from Lincolnshire, UK, spent 48 years wondering why an application for her dream job was never answered. Now she knows. The 70-year-old couldn’t believe her eyes when she opened the letter to discover her original letter applying for a job as a motorcycle stunt rider — sent in January 1976 — had been stuck behind a post office drawer all these years. Despite the letter getting lost, it didn’t hamper Hodson’s career as a daredevil, a job that took her all over the world. She doesn’t know how they managed to find her, saying she had moved at least 50 times — even moving to other countries 4 times — since she sent the letter. When she didn’t hear back on her application, she accepted another job as a snake handler and horse whisperer, which required her to move to Africa. There, she learned to fly, and before long began working as an aerobatic pilot and flying instructor. When asked what she would say to her younger self, she replied, “I would tell her to go do everything I’ve done. I’ve had such a wonderful time in my life, even if I have broken a few bones.”
