Walmart shopper Crissy Charles has shared a little known hack for all the vertically challenged folks out there who struggle to get products down from high shelves. It appears that at the end of every aisle there’s a wire hook attached to a magnet on the shelf. You can take the hooking device to pull a product from a high shelf with no difficulty. Crissy, who says she’s 5 feet tall, confessed that for 50+ years she has relied on the kindness of strangers to help her retrieve out-of-reach items. A common complaint on social media is: “People who are short, elderly, or disabled have no chance of reaching the top shelf, and if there’s no one around to help them, they just have to go without.” Other commenters say they’ve seen Walmart employees climbing the shelves to get something on top, which is obviously not safe. So, now that you know where to find the hook, you no longer have to wait for someone tall to stroll along.
