Luxury label Balenciaga has raised eyebrows with its latest shoe design called “reptile trainers.” The shoes, which feature a “worn-out effect” and elongated toe, have caused heads to turn for the wrong reasons. People have taken to social media to brand the new reptile-inspired shoes as hideous and asking if they’re a joke. Despite disbelief from skeptical observers, the shoes are very much real, and they don’t come cheap, selling for a mind-blowing $1,900. The shoes, which are made in China and come in black or silver, are leather free and made from polyurethane and polyester. Despite the staggering price tag, the shoes are already sold out in some sizes.
