British Man Is Upset After a Bus Driver Toilet Is Placed Outside His Home

Brett Kemp, from south London, has complained after Transport of London (TFL) erected a toilet for bus drivers outside his house. He is currently trying to sell the property and says the toilet is putting off potential buyers. TFL says the toilet is a temporary measure and is working with the city council to find an alternative location for a permanent facility. Nevertheless, Kemp says they shouldn’t have put the toilet so close to his home. While he acknowledged the importance of facilities for bus drivers, Kemp suggested that it should have been placed farther away from the residential area and nearby school. A turning circle a little farther down the road would have been more suitable, says Kemp. TFL says the are mindful of local residents when they install facilities and try to choose locations near the end of the bus route that are most appropriate, taking into account the need for access to pavements to be maintained. Kemp is hopeful that the temporary restroom will soon be moved and he can get on with selling his home.
