A mountainside home once owned by the late Burt Reynolds has sold for a staggering $2.9 million. Located in the town of Highlands, North Carolina, the 4-bedroom, 6-bathroom property is situated near the filming location of an iconic scene in the 1972 thriller Deliverance. Reynolds, who built up a portfolio of 14 properties, died of a heart attack in 2018 at the age of 82. He and his ex-wife Loni Anderson originally bought the property while shooting Deliverance, having fallen in love with the area. Inside, each room is decorated in typical log cabin style, with wooden ceilings and walls encompassing every nook and cranny. Even the bed frames were carved out of tree trunks. A sunken living room, believed to have once hosted stars such as Sally Field and James Garner, is flanked by a regal stone fireplace. The previous owners, who moved in sometime after Burt sold it, lived there for 23 years and spent their time renovating the home, including adding an in-ground heated plunge pool. Neighbors in the area include Steve Martin, Stephen King and Nicole Kidman.
