Zoe Wynns, who is studying music and English at the University of North Carolina, sparked a fierce backlash after claiming on Instagram that she “would simply die” if she had to work a 9-to-5 job. The 20-year-old explained how she would not be suited to certain careers because she cries if she has more than three non-creative tasks to do in a day. She went on to say that she can’t imagine having to do something she doesn’t like 8 hours a day for the rest of her life. Social media users were less than kind in their responses, which ranged from calling her spoiled and entitled to labeling her super privileged. Some even asked if her comment was a joke. After reading some of the comments posted, Wynns said, “If anything, I’m even more steeled now, because I’ve got to prove thousands of people wrong."
