Now THAT’S Lucky! — Powerball Players Allowed To Keep the Cash After Officials Admit They Posted the Wrong Winning Numbers

Lucky Powerball players in Iowa can now breathe a sigh of relief, as they get to keep their winnings after state officials admitted to posting incorrect winning numbers. The wrong numbers were published on the lottery’s website around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, but it wasn’t until 7 hours later that someone finally noticed the mistake. Early bird lottery players who successfully claimed their prize before the numbers were corrected will be able to keep the cash. It’s not clear how many losers had actually become winners, but the initial, incorrect numbers would have resulted in prizes ranging from $4 to $200.
