With Thanksgiving a little over a month away, Jamal took to social media to share that his plans for this Thanksgiving are set — he will be spending his 8th turkey day with Wanda. The pair’s chance meeting happened seven years ago when Wanda thought she was texting her grandson to invite him for Thanksgiving dinner. They soon realized that she had texted the wrong person, but Jamal, who was 17 at the time, jokingly asked, “Can I still get a plate, though?” Wanda quickly responded, “Of course you can, that’s what grandmas do, feed everyone.” When Jamal showed up for Thanksgiving dinner, Wanda gave him a big hug, and they’ve spent every Thanksgiving since then together.
