America’s Best and Worst Fast Food Chains

Over a span of three years, the CDC found that 36.6% of Americans between the ages of 20 and 39 eat fast-food on any given day. Recently, a study was performed to determine the best and worst rated restaurants across the country, and the findings might surprise you. The study was broken down into five cuisines: burgers, pizza, donuts, chicken, and Mexican food. To no one’s surprise, fast-food chain Chick-fil-A ranked No. 1, while Papa John’s pizza ranked at the very bottom. In the burger category, Five Guys came out on top, while McDonald’s and Burger King tied for the lowest rated. The chicken category showed the winner as Chick-fil-A, while the loser of the category was Kentucky Fried Chicken. Moving on to donuts, Krispy Kreme took the top spot, while competitor Dunkin’ Donuts was at the bottom. Pizza chains had a clear winner, with Papa Murphy’s ranking the highest, while Papa John’s pizza clung to the bottom rung. Finally, when it comes to Mexican food, Qdoba ranked as the No. 1 Mexican restaurant, while Taco Bell ranked at the bottom of the category. The maps below will give you an idea of who ranks high and low in your state.
