Sister Wives: Where Are They Now and Is the Series Coming Back?

Sister Wives, the TLC reality show that follows the lives of polygamist Kody Brown and his four wives — Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn — has been on the air since 2010. Overall, Sister Wives has provided viewers with an inside look into the lives of the Brown family and their experiences as a polygamist family. The show has sparked discussions about polygamy, societal acceptance, and the legal challenges faced by families practicing polygamy. However, in 2021, the wives began leaving Brown, one by one — Christine in November 2021, Janelle in December 2022, and Meri in January 2023 — which leaves Kody with just one wife, Robyn. So, the burning question for viewers of the show is: Where are the wives now?

Meri: After nearly 33 years of marriage, Meri saw her life dramatically change when Kody divorced her in order to marry his fourth wife, Robyn, so he could legally adopt Robyn’s children. Now, Meri resides part-time in Flagstaff, Ariz., where she purchased a home with the profits from her successful bed and breakfast — Lizzie’s Heritage Inn in Parowan, Utah. She manages the inn and travels between Flagstaff and Parowan.

Janelle: After 29 years of marriage, Janelle left Kody when she became indifferent toward him, saying their marriage had become a duty and that she had outgrown him. Janelle now resides in Flagstaff, Ariz. where she has established multiple businesses and lives with her daughter, Savannah Brown.

Christine: After 27 years of marriage, Christine was the first to leave, after Kody told her that he had never been attracted to her and was not in love with her. Refusing to continue in a loveless marriage, Christine sold her house in Flagstaff, Ariz., and relocated back to Utah to be closer to her parents and children. She has her own TLC-go series, Cooking With Just Christine, and has recently become engaged to David Woolley after dating for nearly a year.

Kody and Robyn: After the conclusion of his other marriages, Kody now maintains a monogamous marriage with his fourth — and only legal — wife, Robyn. The couple resides in Flagstaff, Ariz., along with their 5 children. As is Kody’s habit, he’s now talking about a potential move to a more affordable location, expressing a desire for change.

Now for the big question: With 3 of the 4 Sister Wives gone, will there be a Season 18? The answer is yes — Sister Wives is expected to return in September 2023. The new season will provide further insights into the lives of the Browns as they navigate their relationships, individual endeavors, and potential changes in their living arrangements.
