Woman Creates Ingenious Way of Hiding Shelves Behind Framed Pictures

Who doesn’t love a good DIY project? Recently, home decor enthusiast Sarahli Wilcox came up with an ingenious idea for building small shelves and hiding them behind mounted art frames. The process is fairly simple. Wilcox uses frames that she finds at Goodwill. She then removes any paint or varnish, fills in any holes, and then stains it, though she says repainting is an easier option. Next, Wilcox creates a backless cabinet and shelves using a brad nailer and some wood glue. The cabinet and frame are then put together with small hinges. If you’re more of a visual person, it’s all explained in the video below. Before you know it, you’ll have dual-purpose storage cabinets that are also works of art, and all for around $30.
