Miami Man Finds Stolen Purple Rolls-Royce by Taking to the Sky

Car thefts are on the rise, with nearly half a million vehicles stolen so far this year. Bob Benyo almost became one of those unfortunate Americans when the $250,000 luxury vehicle he bought his wife Olga as an anniversary gift was stolen from their Miami garage. Two thieves crept in and stole the car, but Benyo had just the thing to get his car back. First he reported the car stolen to police, but then took matters into own hands by taking to the sky. Benyo is the owner of an aerial business in Florida and decided to fly a banner offering a reward to anyone who located his car, which would be very hard for most people to miss. That’s because Benyo’s car is a purple Rolls-Royce. He immediately received about 300 phone calls and texts, including one call from a woman who said she had just seen a purple Rolls-Royce in her neighborhood and called the police. Police located the car, arrested two suspects, and returned the car to Benyo. Had it not been for the aerial advertisement, police doubt the car would have been found that quickly, if at all.
