Apparently, it’s not always sunny in Philadelphia. School teacher Tianna Graham has become the center of news and social media attention after her 2016 Honda Civic was photographed covered in ice. The car was parked near the site of a 6-inch water main break, stuck behind caution tape while crews worked in the area. Graham offered to move the car, but police wouldn’t allow her to enter the area. As cars drove by, water continually splashed onto the car, and freezing temperatures led to it being totally encased in ice, firmly frozen in place. Finally, the ice was chipped away enough that the car could be towed away. Unfortunately, it was later determined that the 24-year-old’s car was totaled. Meanwhile, a friend of Graham’s set up a GoFundMe campaign to help her friend recover from the financial loss. However, the funds weren’t necessary, as Carvana, an e-commerce platform for selling and buying cars, decided to give Graham a replacement car free of charge. When Graham arrived at Carvana, she was stunned to see a bright blue 2022 Honda Civic descend from the car vending machine with a big bow on it, school supplies inside, and an ice pick, which Graham said she definitely needs. Carvana spokesperson Hayley Pollack said the car has about 28,000 miles on it and Graham was free to take it home once the paperwork was finalized. “All things do happen for a reason,” said Graham. “Anything bad that’s happening, something good can always come out of it.”
