Spiaggina: The Cute Fiat 500 That Might Be Coming Back

Fiat is famous for its micro-cars, but the gorgeous little Fiat 500 Jolly is taking on a new life thanks to Garage Italia. The Milan-based creative agency that specializes in custom automotive restorations and electric vehicle conversions has teamed up with Hot Lab to create the Spiaggina. Inspired by vintage speedboats, the nautical color scheme extends to the canopy and seats, both of which are covered in a new indoor-outdoor fabric. The weave puts a fresh spin on the classic striped motif, incorporating a pattern reminiscent of the wake left by a boat on the water. At the center of the cockpit is the wooden Heritage Tunnel, customizable with a magazine rack or a wine bottle holder and combined with a Nardi Classic wooden steering wheel. Under the feet, the blue and white mats of Italdek use a nautical quality material designed to reproduce the wooden swaddle of the decks of the boats; on the sides, ropes with traditional sea knots fix them in place. The Fiat 500 Jolly Spiaggina concept is currently ready for production and available on request through Hot Lab.
