NBC is making sweeping changes to its 2026-2027 TV season, with several beloved shows coming to an end in the coming months. Recently, the network has announced major cancellations of several scripted series and first-run syndicated programs, amid a shifting TV landscape. From long-running staples like Access Hollywood to a beloved Law & Order spinoff, NBC is pulling the plug left and right. Among the network's latest cancellations is the two-season medical drama Brilliant Minds. The series will return with its final six episodes beginning May 27 at 8 p.m. ET, with its series finale airing July 1. In April, NBC announced it had axed Law & Order: Organized Crime, nearly a year after the conclusion of its fifth season. After just one season, Stumble was scrapped on May 1. The NBC staple Access Hollywood was cancelled in March, along with Karamo, the four-season talk show hosted by Karamo Brown. Not surprisingly, The Kelly Clarkson Show will wrap up this fall as well. In this case, the singer turned talk show host opted to end the show, saying she just has too much on her plate. Finally, The Steve Wilkos Show, hosted for nearly 20 years by former Chicago policeman Steve Wilkos, was also among the titles impacted by NBC’s decision to wind down some of its production. What’s really mind-blowing to many viewers is that NBC decided to keep Happy’s Place and The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, two sitcoms that……well…..stink.
