Judge Judy, whose real name is Judith Sheindlin, is notably famous for being one of the most recognizable and successful television personalities in American daytime TV history. She was an actual family court judge, appointed to the bench in 1982. She retired from the bench in 1996 to start her own show, Judge Judy, which continued until 2021. She launched a new show in 2021, Judy Justice, on the streaming platform Amazon Freevee.
