Never Lose Your Keys Again: Apple Unveils AirTags to Track Them

Apple has officially unveiled its long-awaited AirTags — a device that tracks missing items through the “Find My” app. AirTags can be attached to keys, a wallet, or other products and provides notifications when you become separated from the item. The small circular device with an Apple logo at the center is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity to pair with an iPhone or iPad. However, Apple emphasized that the new device is not for tracking people and has added privacy features to ensure that the new AirTags aren’t used for anything but to find inanimate objects. Each device costs $29, but also comes in a 4-pack for $99. Pre-orders begin Friday, with AirTags being available April 30th.
