The One And Only "Sanford And Son" Truck Still Runs

Unlike many shows, the classic sitcom Sanford & Son only had one version of Fred Sanford's vintage 1952 Ford F-1 pickup. The beloved show, which starred Redd Foxx, ran for six seasons on NBC between 1972 and 1978 and followed the antics of Fred, a cantankerous widower — “You hear that, Elizabeth? I’m coming to join you, honey!” — and his son, Lamont, as junkmen and proprietors of Sanford and Son Salvage. When the show ended, Foxx kept the Ford at his Las Vegas home and returned it briefly to NBC for Sanford. In October 2014, the truck was purchased on eBay for $28,000 by Tim Franko and Jeff anter, owners of BlueLine Classics in North Royalton, Ohio. Today, the truck is used primarily for events and parades.
