The Stress-Reducing Milk That Costs $49 a Bottle In Japan

Tokyo-based Nakazawa Foods is offering its line of “Adult Milk” — a super-premium milk for stressed-out adults. At $49 a bottle — 30 times as expensive as ordinary milk — it is said to contain 3-4 times as much melatonin as normal milk. The milk is taken from cows once a week at the break of dawn. That’s because the cows are said to discharge a lot of stress-relieving hormones overnight. The milk is bottled within six hours of milking at a farm north of Tokyo and is said to have the ability to lower anxiety and even some forms of depression. As for the taste, those who have sampled it say it tastes like…….well……milk.
