And the Award for Most Hated Christmas Gift Goes To…

If you waited this long to do your Christmas shopping, don't obsess over getting your loved ones the perfect present. Instead, aim to get them something that won't end up in the back of their closet until they regift it in 2022. There are no one-size-fits-all gifts that everyone on your list is guaranteed to love, but there are some universally hated items you should try to avoid. A 2020 survey shows that the least popular gift is picture frames, with 34% of respondents saying they would regift one if they received it as a present. Gift boxes of body care products are also missing from most people's wishlists, with 33% of respondents saying these are definitely regift-worthy. Other commonly regifted products from the poll included scented candles, makeup sets, and boxes of chocolate. Judging by these results, the most generic gifts are most likely to get a lukewarm reception on Christmas morning. You may be better off taking a risk on an offbeat item. Even if it's not the perfect match for your loved one, at least it will be memorable. Needless to say, cash and gift cards may be a touch impersonal, but they’re always welcomed.
