Cat’s Eyes Change From Bright Green to Yellow to Orange

Gabriela Carvalho, a nursing student from Calgary, Alberta, never imagined when she adopted her cat Ivory that the feline’s eyes would be so entertaining. The 10-year-old feline has fluorescent eyes that change color with the weather. Some days Ivory has bright fluorescent green and yellow eyes and on other days the color changes to bright yellow and orange. The condition is called heterochromia, and while the eye colors change, it has no impact on Ivory’s ability to see. Unfortunately, her eyes aren’t the only problem Ivory has. A dental condition that left her with few teeth and a shorter lower jaw requires that wet food be blended with bone broth to make it more liquid. Nevertheless, Gabriela says she knew she was supposed to adopt Ivory, and the pair have made a great home together.
