How the World Differs When It Comes To Laundry Rooms

Washing machine placement across the world is a more controversial topic than you could ever imagine. You may have never given a second thought to keeping your washing machine in your kitchen if you live in the UK, but apparently the rest of the world isn't on board with that way of thinking. Some people feel very strongly about mixing food and laundry. While the UK and the US can't decide where they belong in the home, Germany has its own idea of where it belongs — in the bathroom! Clearly, the washer and dryer belong in a laundry room. However, if you live in a country where housing is much older and you don’t have a lot of space — much less a designated laundry room — it makes more sense to have the washer and dryer in the bathroom, as opposed to the kitchen. Think about it. Doesn’t it make more sense to take your clothes off before showering and throw them right into the washer than it does to toss in a load while you're spaghetti sauce is heating up?
